PARKING
Parking can be difficult at the best of times in West Perth therefore we advise that you allow ample time for parking.

  • + The day surgery is surrounded by coin operated ticket street parking
  • + There is a Taxi rank directly in front of the building
  • + Free CAT bus service is available from Hay Street into the city, bus or train station. Please ask reception staff for a brochure or visit http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/TimetablesMaps/PerthCATLiveTimes.aspx
  • + Wilson Car parking is available within a 2 minute walk
  • + Wheelchair access is via a lift or ramp.

Should you wish to discuss with us any difficulties you may have with access to the facility prior to your admission, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will make every effort to assist you.

 

AMENITIES
As Colin Street Day Hospital cares for both Paediatric and Adults that are required to fast, we do not permit food or water coolers in the waiting area. The day unit is located within a 2 minute walk to Hay Street where there are many cafes, supermarkets, coffee shops and newsagents should you require food and drink while waiting for your relative or friend.

Colin Street Day Hospital offers patients & visitors access to a TV and a variety of magazines to read while waiting for a relative or friend to have a procedure. However, should you require further reading material, we areĀ  located near several newsagents. Reception staff will be happy to direct you.

Patients receiving a General Anaesthetic or IV sedation will be offered sandwiches and light refreshments post procedure. If you suffer from any food allergies, please notify reception or your pre-admission nurse prior to admission.

Patients undergoing local anaesthetic procedures will be offered light refreshments prior to discharge.

 

SMOKING
Colin Street Day Hospital is committed to providing our patients, visitors, employees, visiting medical officers and service personal with a smoke free environment. Our Smoke Free policy reflects the WA Department of Health Policy on providing a smoke free zone. This policy applies to all people who enter or access the facility, including patients. It is expected that all visitors will comply and not smoke within 7 meters of the building. We thank you for your co-operation with this policy.
